IN-N-OUT BURGER

In-N-Out is the greatest dining establishment in all of America. Really, I mean it. This place is the epitome of american cuisine and I have to have it every time I’m near one. Cheeseburger animal style with fries and a strawberry shake is my weapon of choice and I always make sure I’m extra hungry before I hit it up.

I think part of what makes In-N-Out so awesome is the exclusivity of it. It’s been around since 1948 and is still family owned. You can only purchase a franchise if you know a member of the original family, therefore there’s very few and since the beginning it’s only expanded from California into Nevada. The recent addition of the Draper location is really exciting and the place has been packed non-stop since it’s opening this fall.

Janna and her husband Kirk are bigger fans than I am so we had to stop off at the just opened one in Draper, Utah on the way to Dew Tour. On the way home I was traveling with Lyndon and Davina, two Aussies who had yet to experience In-N-Out, so naturally we made the stop over for lunch. Both were impressed and we took some good photos to remember their first time.

If you’re ever in Cali, Nevada or Utah be sure it hit it up, I promise it’ll be one of the best burgers you’ll ever eat and even if it isn’t it’ll only cost you $5 bucks so who cares?

SNOWBASIN DEW TOUR

I just finished up the second stop of the Winter Dew Tour at Snowbasin Resort in Utah. We got blessed with sunny days and warm temperatures for all four days. I made it through prelims in second place and ended up winning yesterday. I’m so stoked! I felt really on it and landed two runs I didn’t think I was ready to do in a competition. Winning an event like this makes me feel really confident heading into X Games at Aspen next week. Jenny Jones and Megan Ginter rounded out the top three for the girls. Chaz Guldemond, Tyler Flannagen and Sage Kotsenberg podiumed for the men, who all rode incredibly well. Tons of people from all over came out to support and watch the show which made it that much better.

I’m heading back to Breckenridge today after an awesome celebratory dinner in Salt Lake City with some friends. Stoked to go back and train a bit more before X Games. It’s going to be a long week so hopefully I’ll have lots of fun stuff to post about.

GETTING TWISTED

Twisted tea is one of my favorite things about America.

Not much has been happening as of late. I’m heading to Utah tomorrow for the 2nd stop of the Winter Dew Tour. If any of you care about snow sports, check out this asshole….I really wish I didn’t have to be associated with this in any way, shape or form. You owe your entire sport an apology for that one.

HAPPY 3RD DAY OF 2010

Yeah, yeah I’m late on the celebration blog post, but what’s a few days right? I got to spend my new years in Vancouver with my man and some good friends at Fortune Sound Club. I ended up extremely drunk with my heels in a plastic bag and really thankful for free public transit. I had lost my boyfriend and somehow managed to not puke and to catch the last seabus back to North Vancouver where I found him walking back to our friends with a feast from 7-11. We crashed and got up too early so I could head home and pack to come back to Colorado. Needless to say yesterday wasn’t much fun, but at least the night before was.

I don’t know what it is about NYE, Halloween, birthdays etc, but there’s usually way too much pressure for them to ever be any fun. Last night was one of the most successful in recent history and regardless of all the cliches I was just happy to ring in the New Year with some people who matter. I’ll get drunk for a new year, but I refuse to make false promises to myself. I know I won’t be losing 10 pounds or figuring out a way to curb my shopping addiction, but I can be hopeful that this coming year and decade will be better than the last.

Hope you all had a great one and spent it with your loved ones.
